question re: car seat expiration.
does this mean it expired in 2009? or was manufactured in 2009? looks to me like it was manufactured in 2009...but I don't know and want to make sure it's safe to use. it's a Safety First Alpha omega convertible.

I do believe that's the manufacture date - all car seats now have them.

If in doubt...call that 1800 number! I called on my Britax and they were able to tell me exactly what the numbers meant that I was looking at, to check for my seat's expiration. I am sure that Safety 1st will be able to do the same for you!

Ok. And they all expire @ 5 years except britax which is 6? Is that correct? Also, the side says 40-80lbs, but Is that only in regards to use without the harness?? I'm not. Planning to use it any time soon bit I've been meaning to check the expiration bc I bought it new in box bit from a baby toy stores eBay account. I know I have the manual somewhere but I don't remember where.

Is it imprinted anywhere on the plastic? I had a Graco seat that said "DO NOT USE AFTER DECEMBER 2011"on the actual seat - it was not a label.
