Question/Need Advice Regarding Soaking Through the Diaper
DS is six weeks tomorrow He went into size 1 diapers about 2 weeks ago. He does not sleep through the night but I do not do a pee diaper change at all the night feedings - maybe once overnight. He's had a few episodes that in the morning the back of him and his clothes are all soaked through up his back. I know I sound stupid - but can he really do that in 6 hours? Could it be sweat or is it definitely pee? If so, I go up a size at night, correct? I just cannot imagine that he can soak a diaper so fast! Any advice? The only reason I think it could possibly be sweat is the weather has been so back and forth in Florida - sometimes freezing and need heat in the house - which comes out very hot and is hard to regulate. We did not have heat on last night though and there should have been no reason he was sweating. Any advice or thoughts?
Thanks!

ETA - and I specifically remembered to put his pee pee in the down position last night when I changed his diaper at midnight - which is why I am surprised that he was soaked up his back 6 hours later.

Re: Question/Need Advice Regarding Soaking Through the Diaper
I stopped doing night time diaper changes when Ryan was 11 weeks.
That said I do remember once or twice going through the diaper and I ignored it. It never became a problem.
But it definitely could be a possibility that he is peeing through the diaper. I would try the next size up for overnight and see how he does.

I'm not sure if I should try an overnight diaper or a different brand for night? (we're using pampers right now) - I just can't imagine him in Size 2 right now - it would literally be up to his chin!

Re: Question/Need Advice Regarding Soaking Through the Diaper
How much does he weigh?
Loey pees through diapers a lot! But it's always in the front... not the back. Are you sure it's urine? Have you smelled it? (gross I know)
We went up a size at night and it really helped.
He's actually in size THREE already and only 10.5 weeks old! AND peed through a diaper last night... so we might even get a 4 for night time!

Jess - I will FM my address- you are so sweet!
Two weeks ago he weighed 9 lbs, 1 oz. No, I'm NOT sure it's urine and not sweat - I did smell but it has a very light scent - but I feel like his pee diapers don't have a strong scent anyway - even when they're soaked!

If the diaper is full then I would say its pee. does he sleep on his back? If the tabs are not tight enough the pee can run along his back right out of the diaper.

He is sleeping on his back - but not flat - he sleeps in his swing right now - which is why I was also not sure if it's pee b/c he not flat.
