Question for you moms regarding bedding
Sorry to come over to the parenting board but I am posting this here because I know all of you have already purchased your bedding.
I am trying to look for bedding right now - we were told we are having a but I am only 13 weeks so I think it's still too early. Anyway, I have started the bedding search and honestly the only bedding that I have seen that I like is Nava.
Now I have a few questions for you. What brand is your bedding and can you post a pic?
If you spent alot of money on the bedding - was it worth it? I know some moms don't even use the bumpers? I am just torn - I don't know if spending the money on Nava bedding is worth it. I love it - and this it's so beautiful but would feel better if I found another less expensive brand that I loved also. I really don't know what other brands out there are good though.
Thanks - any input would be great!!!

Re: Question for you moms regarding bedding
I never used bumpers or a quilt. The dust ruffle had to come off when I lowered the mattress. Spend the money on a comfy glider/rocker chair!

Re: Question for you moms regarding bedding
I'm the wrong person to ask, since our's is Nava's Designs also. I didn't know what I was having and it was the only pattern I loved that could go either way.
But I did get a better deal on it since the store I bought it in was closing.
I use the bumpers and dust ruffle, but haven't used the quilt yet.

Re: Question for you moms regarding bedding
I fell in love with a Nava design. I could nto find any bedding I liked. My IL's are in Israel (Nava is Israeli) and I even had them hunting for it. I even found it on sale for $500 when Forever Young was going of business. I had such a hard time decided what to do. Finally when DD was 3 months old- I ordered something off overstock.com for $60.
I am SO glad I didn't spend the $$. I ended up buying a bunch of soft sheets from BBB and BRU so I can switch them frequently. The blanket ends up folded away in the corner more than displayed. I just started putting DD to bed with a blanket (she is 8 months old) and I use a softer one. I used the bumpers but you need to make sure its something not too soft because otherwise it is a suffocation hazard.
I woudln't want to use something expensive and hard to wash because she is very wet in the morning and drools on everything- so I would have to wash it a few times a week.

Re: Question for you moms regarding bedding
I didn't buy any bedding and to be honest, personally I think its a waste of money! Why not spend the money on a more expensive pram or something!! I don't miss it and I don't even think most people use their bedding!!!
eta...I use a sleepsac and I thinkt hey are the best thing ever! I totally recommend getting them...they keep the baby lovely and warm and they can't fall off. Skip the blankets and get sleepsacks

Re: Question for you moms regarding bedding
Mine is from PBK and I could have definitely done without it. DC#2 will not get anything.
I did use the bumpers, but I'm not going to for the second. I started using the quilt at 18 months, but that was only b/c I felt I had to get some use out of it.

Re: Question for you moms regarding bedding
I spent $$$ on DD's crib bedding and have no regrets! When we have another child, I intend to do the same.
My set is by Maddie Boo and is exclusively available through Poshtots.com. I fell in love with it online and even more so when it arrived. I use the bumper, sheet and skirt. I haven't used the blanket yet, but it's beautiful!!!
My bedding is obviously for a girl, but I don't know if you want to see it anyway.
Here's the set from the PoshTots website:
and in DD's nursery:
I don't know anything about Nava's Designs, so I can't really comment on the bedding.

Re: Question for you moms regarding bedding
I use the bumpers, sheets and dust ruffle. The quilt is to bulky and he doesnt like to sleep with a blanket on him, he just kicks it off so I put him in a fleece sleeper. As far as sheets, I registered for coordinating solids. I registered for a set at BRU by Koala. It was $188 called Hamilton I think. Here is a pick in his room Image Attachment(s):
