Question for Twin Mommies?

Did anyone find out early around 6 1/2 weeks that they were pregnant with twins and see 2 strong heartbeats but one was smaller than the other?

If so, did everything turn out ok and the smaller baby caught up and both babies made it to term?

Is it the actual baby that's smaller or the gestational sac?

In my first pregnancy, we were pregnant with twins but from early on (6.5 weeks I think) one gestational sac was always measuring smaller. It became more and more significant as the weeks went on, and although the actual babies were the same size, one sac was just incredibly small. We did end up losing that baby and went on to have a healthy singleton with no problems throughout the pregnancy.

I am pregnant with twins now also, but they have been measuring the same (or 1-2 days off) throughout.

Baby B always measured just a little smaller than Baby A. Today at 19 months...baby B is 30 lbs and baby A is 26 lbs!

Yes. We saw 2 heartbeats then but one was measuring smaller. G. was ALWAYS smaller (and still is now at 17mo)!

That was at my 6 weeks sono. It turns out that now at 9 weeks they are measuring only 1 day apart and at my 6 weeks they were 2 days apart but the sono tech scared me.

mine started out measuring 3 days apart at 6 weeks. they were born at 30w 4d babyA 3lb 7.5 oz, baby b 2lb 8 oz.

at 8 weeks they have doubled their birth weights

Congrats!!!!! Mine always measured a few days apart. To this day(15 months) DD is still bigger than DS.
