Lately our Tivo has been experiencing some problems- it's about 3 years old.

It has been freezing up while watching both live TV through it as well as while watching back recorded programs. Basically the screen will just freeze and you can't do anything- the remote won't work- it just is frozen.

When this happens we have to unplug it from the wall- then replug it in and let it reset itself.

It started doing this a few months ago- very infrequently.
But this weekend it has been happening 2-3 times a day.
I read up on it and they say this means the hard drive is failing! Chat Icon

Has anyone else experienced this with their Tivos- or are we just the lucky ones??
