Question for the fellow Jewish peeps about lighting your menorah?

Do you light it when you get home very late? Like if you're first getting home for the night at 9 or 10 pm - will you still light it or do you skip that night?

I sort of do both!Chat Icon

I just do it when I get home. I don't even do it right at sunset because we wait til after we do our dishes and our counters are clear. We light the menorah in the kitchen. I always feel safer that way.

We've lit as late as 11pm before.

I just do it when I get home, I never skip the day. I think the rule is to just light after dusk even if you miss the actual proper time. Also, it is preferable that the whole family is together when menorah is lit and what if someone doesn't get home till late?Chat Icon
