Question for Ladies who had an amnio
2 things.
Did they allow your DH in the room with you while they were performing the test?
Is the sono they do to asssit with the test internal or external?

I had mine done at LIJ and yes, DH was in the room with me, right next to me holding my hand. The sono is external.

I had an amnio the day before they were born - it was external sono and DH was there with me.

Yes, DH held my hand while I squeezed the ever loving feeling out of it! And he watched the screen to make sure the needle was nowhere near DD. I on the other hand could not watch.
Yes, it's a sono too because they need to make sure of where the baby is positioned so they can insert the needle in a place that is not close to the baby.

Yes, no internal sonos after I was released from my RE.
