Question for Babylon TOWNSHIP residents

Hi,
Just wondering if your tax bill for the TOWN has gone up or dwon under Ballone? Can't seem to get an un-biased answer when I research it. He claims to have lowered town taxes, of course his opponenet says Babylon pays the highest taxes. I know that there are several portions of the tax bill: county, school district and then town in seperate. Also, some pay a village tax. I am thinking that Carpenter is lookin at the whole tax bill to make her claim.

So, what has Ballone done w/ the town portion!

I can't recall specifics but I know my taxes have gone up every year since 2004. Some was for the village taxes but it was mainly the town.

I don't agree with the allegation that TOB paying the highest taxes. Of course this is completely unscientific but we have been house hunting in Babylon, West Islip, Sayville and East Islip. When taking comparable properties in those towns, Babylon always has less taxes (even including the village tax). From what I can tell, Town of Islip pays higher taxes.
