Question for a friend interview follow up

my friend is a sub in a school
today she went for an interview for a clerical job in that district
she said she knew the interviewer only by seeing him in the halls, etc he acknowledged her too
her question she wants to send a follow up thank you to him with an edible fruit arrangement
she asked if this was ok
or is it to much?I said I do not know

Re: Question for a friend interview follow up

I think a nice handwritten note would be the best option. I think the gift would be to much and unprofessional.

Yes to the note, no to the gift.

Agreed.
I've worked in H.R. for over ten years. Note via e-mail is nice - handwritten is even better. No gift.

I think a thank you note is sufficient. Anything more is too much.

Handwritten note would be the best option in my opinion. If not that, an e-mail thanking the person for their time and consideration. Definitely NOT a gift. IMO, too pushy/unprofessional.
