Question about waterproof matress pads

For those whose kids are in either twin or full sized beds, do you use a waterproof matress pad or a sheet saver?

I want to get a mattress pad but a few people told me they can be noisy when the chlid moves.....does anyone have a recommendation for a good one?

TIA

Re: Question about waterproof matress pads

What we did was, we bought a vinyl cover and put that on her mattress and then we got a padded waterproof mattress pad and put that on top and it works just fine, not noisy and not too hot Chat Icon

Also wanted to add the reason we did both was because we originally just got the padded one, but Ali must have slept at the edge of the bed up against the bed rail and her diaper leaked. Well, because the mattress pad is only waterproof on the top - not the sides, she leaked on the mattress as well.
So we got the vinyl which protects the sides as well Chat Icon

Check target. I bought a waterproof pad and put it under me while I was PG incase my water broke at night.

Re: Question about waterproof matress pads

I got one for my DS bed at Bed Bath and Beyond. It's not vinyl, but it is waterproof and has worked great so far.

this is exactly what we did when I was pregnant and afraid that my water would break in bed Chat Icon

it wasn't noisy or too hot. we actually forgot it was under the mattress pad until it was time to wash it again!

I am 95% sure it was Bed, Bath and Beyond (the other 5% is that it was Linens and Things Chat Icon ). I have 20% off coupons if you need Chat Icon

We have one on his crib, and one on our bed. You can't notice it at all.
