Question about toddler beds
I was wondering up to what age can a toddler stay in a toddler bed.
If you have a toddler bed how long do you plan on using it? If you had a toddler bed up to what age did you use it?
TIA

Re: Question about toddler beds
My son is very tall so we moved him to a twin at 3. My nephew was in it until 4 though. Same bed, they gave it to us when he grew out of it.

Re: Question about toddler beds
DD went in one at 23 mo and we will prob move her to a twin when my DS -who is 15 mo now- is ready for a toddler bed (I am assuming around the 23-24 mo mark as well) SO that means my DD will be 3.5 yrs

Re: Question about toddler beds
My DS went into his toddler bed at a little over 2, and he was out of it at like 30 months old?
I kinda think toddler beds are a waster unless the crib turns into one (ours did). DS is only 30lbs and 36 inches tall and he wasn't comfortable anymore in his

Re: Question about toddler beds
We moved DS to a toddler bed a few mos after his 2nd b-day. We converted his crib, but then found out the crib was recalled. I had to send in the hardware that held up the mattress in order to get the rebate. (Sorry more info then you need) DS will be 4 in July and pretty tall and still fits the toddler bed no problem. I plan to have MIL and FIL get him a twin bed for his 4th birthday. I bought the bed on Craigslist for $50 so I think we more than got our moneys worth and I will save if for DD.
Edited to correct when we moved DS to the toddler bed.

DS is bigger than that (23 months) and fits comfortably in his toddler bed. We will be switching to a twin though very soon... we have twins due in August and will be using DS's mattress for one of the babies. If someone had not given us a toddler bed we would have went straight to a twin. Since we had one lying around and DS started climbing out of his crib at 21 months, it worked out perfectly.

Re: Question about toddler beds
Thanks for all you responses! I am debating whether or not to start with a toddler bed or go straight to a twin bed. This really helped.
