Question about the fund set up for Kenneth and Christopher... *UPDATED*

I need some help figuring out a way to get the information for Kenneth out there to people who want to donate. The thing is, we have an address to send donations to and a name set up for his "fund" so I've been getting asked by tons of people what the address is and where to send money.

Also, I have heard that there are quite a few businesses in our area that have been taking up collections for Kenneth and Christopher! Which amazes me and I feel bad because I don't know HOW to ge the word out there of where to send money if you are so kind enough to offer to donate something.

Any suggestions/ideas? I'm wondering do we make a website too? How do we even go about doing that?

This is why not being computer savvy sux.

I made a few flyers I'm going to give to some businesses and I got in touch with a Newsday reporter who is going to go around to the places that already have something going for Kenneth and Christopher to write a story about it and include, in the story, the address of where to send donations. So, that will probably help a lot of people who are wondering what to do.

*Also, I've created an email that I'm sending around so PLEASE forum mail me your email address if you'd like me to pass the email along to you and then you could pass it along to friends and so on!!! This is great - thanks!!

Someone in your family should contact the stores that have collections going alredy.


Create a form that you, your family, friends can email to everyone they know which can be forwarded. As for local business, just go door to door and ask if you can leave flyers on their counter.

Post about it here in the charity forum and on other forums you or family members participate on. (ask admin for permission first)

There might be someone with the police dept that can help or perhaps MADD?


A website where you can make donations would probably get a big response - I wouldn't know where to begin with that but you want to make sure it's through reputable provider and secure.

thank you - i've begun making flyers on my home computer. i think they look pretty good. i'll go around and ask if i can hang them in businesses. i feel bad doing this for some reason - i guess i shouldn't feel this way?? no one has to donate if they don't want to and i'm doing this in response to many people asking me - i'm always this way - i feel guilty for some reason!

anyone else have any other suggestions??
