Question about surging on own

So I went to the doctor on Saturday and he wanted to wait 2 more days to let the egg get slightly bigger, then IUI tues/wed.

Well I get a call Saturday afternoon and they said I started to surge on my own (which has never ever happened). I needed to come back immediately for hcg shot (just in case) and then IUI on Sunday.

Just curious if this happened to anyone else. I feel like maybe we did everything too late and it wasn't worth it to do the IUI this time.

Yes. I went in just to monitor blood and son and ended up getting a call saying I was surging on my own to come back the next day for the IUI. This happened twice. The first time they told me to trigger that night. BFN. The second time, they told me not to trigger since I was surging on my own (which I didn't uderstand since they told me the opposite last time) so I didnt. BFP!!

I do not think too late.

Exact same thing happened to me this weekend. Went in on Sat. for monitoring, they wanted me back on Monday to see if follie getting any bigger.

However, they called sat. , said I was surging and we did IUI on sunday. Since follie wasn't too big, I am not sure how much of a chance I have ..but you never know!!

its prob not too late. surging means your about to ovulate so it doesn't sound like you missed it. good luck
