Question about storing baby's clothes
I live in a small 1 bedroom apt. We ordered a crib and a dresser but now that we are moving things around in our bedroom, we dont think we can fit both pieces of furniture. My MIL suggested we get stackable drawers for the baby's clothes. What is everyone else doing who has limited space and does anyone have any suggestions on where I can get these things? Thanks.

Re: Question about storing baby's clothes
Can you add a rod to your closet to add hanging storage? They sell for about $15 at Bed Bath and Beyond.

I really like the closet organizers from One Step Ahead.

Re: Question about storing baby's clothes
We too also live in a 1BR condo. I plan on getting a few of those space bags you suck the air out of at BBB. Going to put some of mine & DH's clothes away in those bags and slide them under the bed. That should make some room in our walk in for the baby's clothes. We are going to be getting a crib, and a dresser with the changing table top to save space. I think I will prob get one or two of those small plastic three drawer organizers. That would work for small things like socks, plain onesies, and would fit somewhere in the closet. I am also going to try to split things up so not everything is in the bedroom. Wash cloths, towels in the bathroom, bibs in the kitchen etc..
DH really doesn't need access to 300 t-shirts everyday. Also we have a storage unit in the basement of our building. Can you look into something like that? We store our clothes down there in the space bags that are the opposite season. It is a pain in the butt to unpack but is worth the space.

Re: Question about storing baby's clothes
I <3 all of the above suggestions. DH installed custom shelves (he cut them to fit) in every nook and cranny of every closet in our apt. We are now using one closet as half pantry / half baby storage. Not ideal, I know, but that's what's working. We had a bunch of towels and extra blankets that are now in space bags until we need them. We gave away all the clothes we could part with. Trying to clear out one or two drawers for . Big seasonal stuff (golf clubs, skiis, bikes...) all had to be stored at our parents house. Luckily we have that luxury. There is still some overflow. All that stuff is now in the laundry basket. I bring my laundry down in a rolling cart that now sits in the entry way. There is only so much I can do.

Re: Question about storing baby's clothes
we use space saver bags and rented out a storage unit, so as DS grew out of clothes or toys, it got bagged and put in there
