Question about storage/use within time frame of Similac RTF formula
Please someone explain to me..
The bottle of Similac RTF formula says "Prepare and feed all formula in this container within 3 days after opening" but then right below it it says, "Store prepared bottles in refrigerator and feed to baby within 48 hours"
So Im confused..once the bottle is open, is it good for 2 days or 3 days? Or am I reading something wrong?

No, I was confused too. We usually go through the bottles very quickly though, so it's never been an issue for us. Maybe give the company a call just to clarify?

we always went with 3 days and never had a problem. it rarely lasted that long anyway.

Thanks ladies. It only last me a little longer (sometimes) since Im still also BF so DS only gets formula during the day. I will give the company a call

I read it as the following- once the RTF bottle is opened use it within 3 days if serving from the RTF bottle, BUT once you pour out of the container into bottles use those prepared bottles within 48 hours. I would think it has to do with the nutrients breaking down in clear feeding bottles faster then the opaque RTF bottle.
