Question about sheets/sheetsavers, breatheable bumpers, and changing sheets.
I am so confused as to what type of and how many sheets are best to have.
Right now I have 4 sets of sheets.
I also have 2 mattress pads. Do you think I need more?
As far as sheetsavers or the ultimate crib sheet, etc....do these work if I have breathable bumpers?? It looks like there will be no place to tie them once the bumpers are on.
Do I need something else on the crib to protect the mattress or sheets?? My mattress says it is moisture resistant and you can wipe it down with a damp cloth.
I am so confused as to how many layers of sheets, etc. I will need for the baby's crib....someone ;please give me some insight!
Also...to change the sheets it seems like I literally have to take the whole mattress out of the crib in order to do so....am I wrong? (luckily my mattress is a lighter foam mattress)

Re: Question about sheets/sheetsavers, breatheable bumpers, and changing sheets.
we LOVE the ultimate crib sheet.
this is what DS' crib has been since he started sleeping in it @ 8wks:
(from the bottom up)
-crib skirt -mattress -mattress pad -regular crib sheet -ultimate crib sheet (if baby pees/vomits/poops in his sleep, its all contained to this ultimate crib sheet. it's sheets and a waterproof pad in 1. if there's a mess, you just scoop up the UCS and throw it in the washer, and you already have a fresh sheet underneath! You'll appreciate this at 3am). -sheetsaver (soft terry drool pad. this this was GREAT for us - DS was quite a drooler in his sleep and would wake up with his face smelling like a hamster. it was really easy to change out the sheetsaver every day as opposed to changing his bed sheets every time he drooled on them.)
I started using bumpers (the regular bumpers that came w/ the bedding set) around 4mos when he kept banging his head into the rails and making himself cry.
Now @ almost 9m, we don't even use the sheetsaver anymore because he's allllllll over the crib. He never sleeps in the same place twice.
And yes, to change regular sheets, you pretty much DO have to take the whole mattress out.

I swear by the ultimate crib sheet. The regular fitted sheet is the biggest PITA to change so we always used the ultimate crib sheet. It should still attach with the bumpers (it would snap underneath it).

thanks! do you think I even need the breathable bumpers yet? Also...how many ultimate crib sheets do you have? Is 1 enough??. Also...did you use the sheetsavers and ultimate crib sheet at the same time?
