question about rice cereal

I started DD on rice cereal on friday morning...this morning I decided to try and give it to her before her morning bottle to see if she would get more in her mouth instead of spitting it all out. It worked a little better she did get a little more in (shes only offered a teaspoon at this time, prob. actually ate 2 spoonfuls worth) I gave her a 6oz bottle afterwards and she drank it like normal. Problem is shes gotten sick 3 significant times since after having her cereal and bottle this morning...she is a spitter upper on a good day and i thought the cereal was supposed to sit heavier in their stomachs and help with that but it seems to be doing the opposite.
Should I stop the rice cereal and move to oatmeal and see how that goes or is this normal? (she has no rash)

DD loves oatmeal. I have heard a lot of babies prefer the oatmeal over the rice..

I would try the oatmeal and see how she likes it...

they also have rice with bananas by Gerber - DS LOVES that, but isn't too fond of just the plain rice.

I would move on and try the rice again in a few weeks. Rice should help spit up actually, but sounds as if she does not like it.

I will try oatmeal tomorrow morning i think then...i thought rice could back them up as well but it seems to be making her more regular...i have a child that goes against the grain at 6 months lol
