Question about RE visit
This morning I had my monitoring appointment at the RE and they did a sono. The sono tech asked if I had long cycles and I told her that I usually had 29 days cycles but last cycle I had the flu and ended up with a 32 cycle. She said my follicles were still too small. When I talked to the nurse she said they wouldn't do blood work since it seemed like I was no way near ovulating and my follies where still small. She scheduled me to go back Monday morning for blood work. Well this afternoon I had cramping and I did my regular OPK and I got my smiley. Forgive me if this question might sound silly to some of you, I am still so new at this! Is it ok to wait until Monday to get my blood work in order for them to monitor my mid cycle? Should I try to schedule an earlier appointment? Why would my follicles be small if I am ovulating? TIA

Question about RE visit
What cycle day are you? Do you know how big follicles were? Did they do bloodwork today?

Re: Question about RE visit
Hmmm, CD12 seems too early to O on a 29 or 32 day cycle. Have you been monitoring OPK every month? When do you normally O? Those smiley OPKs never worked for me, I used the ones with the lines. I think, if it were me, I would call my RE tomorrow and speak with a nurse to let her know you got a smiley on your OPK. Maybe they will have you come in before Monday or just do bloodwork to see if you did in fact surge. I would prob test again in the morning with FMU too.

This!! Call them ASAP in the morning. They could have measured incorrectly or you are Oing in the next 12-36 hours. They will prob have you come in for a repeat sono and blood work to confirm a surge.

Question about RE visit
I would definitely call so you don;t miss your window. Maybe they can have you go in on Saturday instead to just check what is going on.

Re: Question about RE visit
Thanks ladies. You were right. Thankfully the nurse called back the next day and made me set up an appt. for Saturday. I had an us and blood work. They confirmed I did ovulate. I think they said one follicle on my left ovary was 20mm. The sono tech said everything looked very good!
