Question about pricing for selling baby clothes

I'm trying to declutter and we're having a garage sale in 2 weeks. I have a ton of baby and toddler clothing I'm trying to get rid of. What's the norm for pricing? Obviously everything is in excellent condition. Most was only worn on 1 child since I have 1 of each gender. TIA!

Re: Question about pricing for selling baby clothes

I've done half of what I paid. Like $3 for a shirt. If its a good brand like RL or Gap maybe more. You can always check what ebay is selling for.

Question about pricing for selling baby clothes

If you want to get rid of stuff, price low... Like I'm talking, $1 for each piece and even making bulk deals with people... Most people that go to yard sales are looking for rock bottom prices... If you're looking to make money, then price higher but be prepared to be bringing back in a lot of your stuff.

Also, see if you can get a clothing rack and HANG up all clothes... I find that if they are on the rack and people can actually "shop" through them, you'll sell a lot more. Organize by size/gender

Re: Question about pricing for selling baby clothes

My sis had a garage sale last weekend. I brought over SOOO many baby clothes, brand new with tags (mostly full outfits and good brands). I had them all on hangers presented nicely. I asked $5 an outfit. Sold a few. Then one woman came, put them all in a pile and asked how much. I said "$5 an outfit" She kept saying "No $1 an outifit! That's a good price!" I wanted to hit her. I was truly annoyed and slightly offended. There were RL, Gap, Gymboree brand new outfits! I want to get rid of them but not badly lol. I asked her to leave. haha.

For a garage sale you aren't going to get much per item. I would price $1-2 per item. When people shop garage sales they're looking for steals.

Re: Question about pricing for selling baby clothes

Are you looking to make some of your money back or are you looking to get rid of everything and get some money rather than donating?

If you're looking to unload, garage sale prices are $1-$2 a piece. If you really want to make some money go on a buy and sell board and price them $5 an outfit..or if they are gymboree or gap go on a specialize FB group and you'd be surprised what some people would payChat Icon Chat Icon

Question about pricing for selling baby clothes

At a garage sale people won't pay more than a dollar or two, and that's pushing it. I would price shirts at .50, pants at $1.00. People are looking for rock bottom deals at garage sales. I would sell them on ebay or FB if you want more than that.
