Question about pictures coming off camera after uploading them to the computer.

I have the Canon Rebel T2i. Everytime I upload pictures onto the computer they are automatically taken off the camera. There's no option about this when I upload them. Does anyone know if there's a way to change this?

yeah, your either set windows or a program to automatically detech your camera and move photos. What ever program opens when you plug in your camera, go into settings and turn it off so you can do it manually.

or

take out your sd card and put that into your computer

I always do the latter. I organize my photos, so I don't want any software to decide for me where to put things. I also find it faster by using the internal card slot, instead of the USB cable. Plus, I'm also not using the camera battery that way.

honestly proper practice is to remove the chip from the camera and use a card reader to safely get your images off the disk.

I am a mac person so not sure how to fix it on the PC but if you look where all your menu options are (like internet options and stuff like that) look for Import Settings and it can be changed there.
