question about ovulation and sonogram
can a doc tell if you ovulated already based on a sono? i know they measure follicle size, but once you ovulate, do the follicles immediately shrink? reason for question- i'm on clomid wiht OB, cd 5-9, i went for a sono today - day 13- had 2 follicles at 20 mm. plus OB told me i have a ton of mucus. anyhow- DH is away till tonight, so now i'm worried that i may have ovulated already. been using opk's since day 11, still no positive- unless i missed it, and it was before day 11?

Re: question about ovulation and sonogram
a 20mm follie is great! and to have 2 of them is even better! if the follies are still in your ovaries that means you have not ovulated yet. even if you ovulated this afternoon - as long as you and DH "get together" tonight and then again tomorrow, you have a good chance!!

Re: question about ovulation and sonogram
I think they can tell right away. The follicle collapses and gets smaller. And remember that Clomid follies can get up to 24 or 25. So you may be fine.
And Clomid screws with your CM. And CM is usually present before you Ovulate. And doing the IUI right after you O is better. So it's fine.
Did you take an OPK? Usually the IUI is the day after the first positive AM OPK.
