Question about movement and consistency
I am 24 weeks and have been feeling the baby for a while now, first inside, then outside and now when it moves I can often see my stomach twitch. HOWEVER, this movement is still at 24 weeks far from consistent. Although I do most often feel movement every day and sometimes several times an hour it is not consistent at all - like I think i read on here counting for ten kicks an hour? That would never happen to me! Sometimes I don't feel the baby much the whole day and it worries me...
My quesiton is should I be feeling the baby all day, every day, several times an hour at this point? What is normal? Thank you!

Re: Question about movement and consistency
I am not positive but I think that "counting kicks" thing starts at 28 weeks.

Re: Question about movement and consistency
I'm as far along and don't feel the baby all the time. I thought I heard the counting kicks thing starts later.

THank you for the response! Sorry to be annoying in advance but can I ask you - do you feel the baby several times a day all day? several times an hour? sometimes i will go the whole day without feeling anything and then i will lay in bed all night until he kicks to make sure he is ok! It drives me nuts

Re: Question about movement and consistency
I am 36 weeks and never have consistent movement...EVER.
They have me count movement , but its only 1 hour a day after eating, laying on my side....
They say if I get that hour of movement, its fine if I dont feel movement all day....
Try not to worry, everyone is different in how the baby is positioned and how much fluid is between you and the baby which affects feeling the actual movement....

Re: Question about movement and consistency
They will have a sleep cycle, but you may not realize it, since there is still a lot of room in your belly and they may move without you knowing.
I find that after 30-32 weeks I started feeling a "schedule" It's mostly when I'm not moving (sitting or laying down) and not rocking him with my movement - that he is up.

Re: Question about movement and consistency
I think I posted the same exact thing at 25 weeks!!! I was so stressed about it........ at the time the response was most didnt feel regular movement until week 29 or later.... and at week 30, I can say the routiner movement started about a week or so ago...
Also, at the time I asked the Doctor and she told me it was too early to feel routine/regular movements......
Hope that helps, I can remember being stressed about this as well.....

You're not annoying at all. Most of the time, I don't feel movement at all. Every once in a while I will feel something and relax. He's still so small that he has room to move. Sometimes I don't feel the movement at all, but notice he's bunched up in one area. Then I'll have his head or butt making one area so freakin' hard.

Re: Question about movement and consistency
I'm as far along as you too- and the movements that I feel are not consistent either. I posted about this a couple of weeks ago because I was worried- but everyone told me that they didnt feel consistent movement until like 25-30 weeks.

Re: Question about movement and consistency
I have very consistant movement..Im 22 weeks..BUT this isnt my first..or my second..or my third..etc...Child. This little guy is by far my most active baby yet. He is up most of the day either kicking, squirming, or just "touching"...but I know that, aside fromt he real kicks, the other movements could be missed.
