Question about m/c's

I know your chances decrease after the first tri (beginning week 14?), but do they also decrease as you increase in weeks during your first tri? For example, is a m/c less likely at 10 weeks than 6 weeks?

I'm just curious.

Re: Question about m/c's

Yes there is a chart online that I read as the weeks go on the rate goes down!

This is a nice fact I would like to share:

If ultrasound at 7 to 11 weeks gestation confirms good fetal heart tones in the face of vaginal bleeding, 90 to 96% of pregnancies will do well.

Re: Question about m/c's

My Dr. told me that if everything looks good at your 10 week sono, the chances of miscarriage are very slim.

However, there are exceptions to every rule...my mom had a m/c at 5 months Chat Icon

But, that was a little different and back then they didn't do as many sonos as they do know. She had only been to, I think, one befor the m/c.

Re: Question about m/c's

I believe it gets less likely with time and milestones (i.e. a good HB). After 20 weeks it is no longer a m/c and considered premature delivery until you are term...
