Do you think that if you were on the slimmer side before pregnancy you tend to show faster? I know its my 2nd pregnancy and all but i swear i am showing much faster than last time. i am also about 8 lbs less than i was the last time i got pregnant. My mom is saying its bc i was slimmer to begin with so any weight gain/bloatng is going to show faster and be more obvious?
Did you notice that if you were on the slim side you showed faster than if you had a belly to begin with?. I had more of belly last time i got pregnat being i was 8lbs heavier but started to shwo later IMO. Does this make any sense what my mom is telling me.

I am slim tobegin with and with dd i didn' show until 5.5 moths. I am currently 21 weeks and showing a lot more then I did with dd. I think it's because we are "streched out" (for a lack of better terms)

I've read that you show faster with a second pregnancy, so that might be what's happening. I was fairly slim before the pregnancy, and I was obviously showing around 17 wks.

I don't think you're showing faster because you're slim. I think it's because it's your second pregnancy. Most of the people I know with 2 or more children showed much sooner with the second baby.

Yes, I think when you are slim to begin with you show faster. I was probably showing around week 10 or 11, vs week 17 or 18.

I think your muscles are just pre-stretched from the first one. I probably weighed more with #2, and still showed faster the second time.

I think it's just because it's your second pregnancy that you show a lot faster. Plus, your pregnancies are close together so your body doesn't have time to get back to where it was before.

I think everyone is different, with a 2nd pregnancy your body "knows" what to do, the muscles etc have already been stretched once.

Ya know its funny, I was just telling my DH this today, I am showing a little already and I'm only 5 weeks... I did have a flatter tummy before I got preggo but now I have a bump. It is true that you show earlier with your second, our bodys are use to it I guess!

I think that some slim people show faster but I think that being 8lbs heavier will not make a difference even if you have a small frame.

Although Im sure that weight has something to do with it in the long run...I have "shown" differently with each pregnancy and Ive always been basically the same weight....

Yes. With my second pregnancy I was 110 lbs and I was wearing all maternity clothes before 14 weeks
