Question about going early...
is there any way of knowing whether you will go early or go late? The only thing i've ever heard is that you follow in your mom's footsteps....

There is no way to tell.
And the part about following your mom's footsteps is not correct either. When I got pregnant, I mentioned my concern to my OB about my mother's many complications when she had kids and my OB said that what happened with my mom wouldn't affect me in any way.

I wish I followed in my mom's footsteps....she went 3 weeks early for both myself and my brother! According to my Dr.  is very content where he is with about 2.5 weeks to go she doesn't see him coming any time soon!

yeah, my mom went early with her first, and lost weight with every pregnancy. There is no footstep following, unfortunately for me.
