Question about follicles

Someone please educate me here...

so i started my first cycle of clomid. went for a cd12 test and sono and no sign of a follicle. went in today CD 16 and still no sign of follicle although my lining is good she said. What happens if they see a follicle? What happens if I dont produce a follicle? When does ovidrel come into this picture?

Sorry I really don't know the answer to your question. Did u ask the nurse? What's your diagnosis? Do u usually O on your own?

I felt a little silly asking so I figured I would just post here. I have PCOS. I guess next time I go in I really should ask right?

If you're not going back tomorrow, I would call the office in the morning. I don't know how your dr's office works, but at mine I can leave a message and someone always calls me back.

I think I've finally gotten over my fear of asking silly questions. I remember after my 1st round of Clomid I went for blood and sono and she read off all of these #'s to me. I had NO IDEA what the hell she was talking about. I finally asked the next day and she told me those were the measurements of the follicles (and what sizes were "good").

I don't know too much about PCOS!

They want to see a follicle about 18-20mm before they'll trigger you with the Ovidrel. If you don't have anything going on by the next visit I'd say the cycle is a bust. They'll either give you Provera and up your dosage next cycle, or they may do back to back Clomid doses (no AF in between - that's what my RE did).

I have PCOS and never grew any follies bigger than 10mm on Clomid, even on 150 mg. Good luck

What dose of clomid are you on? I did about 4 cycles of Clomid and didnt produce any follicles either. I have PCOS too.

The doctor eventually moved me onto injectables and that how I got PG.

I have PCOS and only got 1 even at the 150 dose. My last try with Clomid resulted in a cyst and a month off.

Now with injectables I have 20+ follies so I'm on the sidelines yet again.
