Question about FET transfer

I have my FET transfer tomorrow!!!Chat Icon

Just wondering if the day of transfer is technically considered an "ovulation" day when figuring out "dpo"?

Re: Question about FET transfer

I think the day of "ovulation" is actually the day that retrieval would have been. In an FET, count 3 days back if you had day 3 frozen embryos or count 5 days back if you had day 5 ones.

Okay this may sound dumb, but I'll ask anyway Chat Icon

How do I know if was a 3dt or 5dt? Are you talking about the fresh retrieval I had done with my first IVF (three years ago) and how many days after I had the transfer? I believe my embryos were 3d, so do I count back THIS transfer three days back from what would have been retrieval to figure out O??

Re: Question about FET transfer

It would be the day after retrieval that your embryos were frozen. Do you know if your remaining embryos were frozen the same day you had your fresh transfer? During my fresh cycle I had a day 3 transfer and my embryos were frozen on day 3, so I counted 3 days back from the FET to figure out "ovulation" day. A friend of mine had a day 3 transfer on her fresh cycle, but her embryos were frozen on day 5, so she counted 5 days back. Chat Icon
