Question about Dr. Browns

Do you think it's ok if I give Ava her bottles without using that clear tube and yellow circle thingy anymore.....just the bottle and nipple? i hate cleaning those parts and she's a big girl now.

No! I read that you have to use the bottles with the clear part. Why I have no idea.Chat Icon

Re: Question about Dr. Browns

I was wondering the same thing....is it eventually okay to switch bottles due to maturation? Those little parts are getting to me. Chat Icon

Re: Question about Dr. Browns

I don't think the bottles will go together properly without all the parts. I do however think it is okay to eventually switch to bottles that are lower maintenance. Once their little bellies mature, and they can bring up their own burps, I think it is fine.

Re: Question about Dr. Browns

no! I read in the ir booklet that you have to use it with all of the parts. onc time I forgot to put the cleat piece in (during one of those horrid 3 am feedings!) and it leaked all over. I would think its fine to switch to an easier to clean bottle system when the baby is a bit older though. I know what you mean - cleabing those parts is such a pain in the butt!!!! Ive only veen doing it for 6 weeks so far and I am fed up already !

I also read that you need to use those pieces in order for the bottle to "work"

I have used them a few time forgetting to put the guts in. Noah's head didn't explode or anything...they didn't leak, so I say why not...give it a go!!!
