Question about coming home outfit

So I'm kinda clueless about this...

DH and I plan on going shopping tomorrow for a coming home outfit, something we wanted to do together...

I'm due in July, what do I buy? A onesie? A hat? Socks? mittens?

Sorry, I feel so clueless!

Re: Question about coming home outfit

Well, I wouldn't suggest mittens if you're due in July, but they have very cute onsies or the separates at any store. We picked ours at Denny's. I'd suggest a hat b/c with the AC on and all the baby's head should be covered, but nothing too heavy b/c it's the summer.

And socks?

For some reason I thought the mittens were to protect themselves from scratching w/their nails?

Oh, I think some tops have that thing that covers their hands. The bottoms I got have footsies, but depends on the outfit you pick. Their feet should be covered. Don't forget a blanket too

Re: Question about coming home outfit

We'll probably just do a cute onesie that we get at the shower. It's going to be HOT in August (we live in FL).

Re: Question about coming home outfit

DD was born in July - we had her in a cute outfit that was light. It was a top with pants (to keep the clothes off her belly button). We had socks and a baby cap on her with a blanket ready since the AC was on in the car.

I haven't gotten the coming home outfit for this Chat Icon yet but I do hope to find something similar

BTDT chiming in...go for layers of light fabrics b/c with a/c on you want to keep a newborn covered. also, try to avoid things that go over the head and long sleeves with the fold over the hands are great! go for some light socks too.
