question about car seats!!
I need help on the Graco Snugride or the Chicco keyfit.. I have friends that have both and like them each. I guess its a matter of preference but I wanted some opinions.. PLease let me know which you decided on if any of those? Thx~!

Re: question about car seats!!
I went with the Chicco- it felt lighter to me and it had a higher rating at the time on Consumer Reports- this was in 2010 for my first. I used it for 6 months with my ds and absolutely loved it

Re: question about car seats!!
I had the Chicco. It was HEAVY. I only lasted 6 months with the infant seat, I couldn't lift it anymore.
This baby, we got the Graco Modes Travel system and the infant seat is suppose to be the lightest one out there. It felt SO much lighter than my Chicco. I am excited to use that this go around.

question about car seats!!
I had the sungride. We got the small one that goes up to 20ish lbs. I honestly would never buy one of the ones that go up to 30+ lbs. They are all heavy after the newborn phase. They bigger ones are also wider and soemthing I found out with friends is that they do not fit in many restaurant booths. A bunch of us went to dinner with our babies and my seat was the only one that could slide in. While many might not think its important but we were able to take DS with us and he slept in many restaurants and wasn't in the middle of an aisle or teatering on a upside down high chair.
I stopped using mine at 4 months cause it got heavy and I hated lugging it around. DS was a peanut and even now at 13months is under the weight limit but we just found it not as easy to use after a while.

Pretty much exactly this...probably one of the best decisions I made. I had a bunch of my friends who had either the Chico or the bigger Graco ones and mine was by far much lighter. It has better safety ratings also.
I used mine until my DD was 8 months old and she was still way under the 22 lbs limit.
