Question about CAC
For some reason when the old homeowners had the CAC installed they put one unit in the attic for the upstairs and the unit for the 1st floor in the basement. We would love to finish the basement and turn half into a laundry/storage room and the other half into a play room. Unfortunatley the half that we would turn into a play room has the AC unit and the big tubes running across the ceiling. How much do you think it would cost to redo the central air? They could probably leave the unit for the 2nd floor as is but will have to install another unit in the attic and run it to my 1st floor.

Re: Question about CAC
I would get a couple of estimates. There are too many possible variables…
* Re-routing duct work * Getting the unit in the attic * Current space in the attic * Code regulations * Power regulations * Air distribution
