Question about BRU returns
Sorry I know this topic comes up a lot but I couldn't find the answer to this for sure. My shower is this weekend and supposedly people are buying things that aren't showing up as purchased on the registry. So I'll probably end up receiving doubles. Will BRU allow me to return items that are on my registry even if they don't show up as having been purchased? TIA!

Re: Question about BRU returns
The person I spoke to in Westbury said they are strict with their returns and to make sure to do them right away. I asked the same questions and she said they will take them back, even if they are on the registry but not marked, BUT they count toward your no receipt return maximum which she said was around $125.

This makes me really regret ever registering with them. Thankfully I did most of my registering with BBB....

Re: Question about BRU returns
I went to BRU this weekend and they said to make sure if the item was not purchased off the registry to have the person give you a gift receipt or you will have a hard time returning/exchanging items.

Re: Question about BRU returns
Thanks ladies. I went with BRU because I thought it would be the most convenient for everyone but this is just annoying.

Re: Question about BRU returns
If you have duplicates and don't get gift receipts, you can mark an item as purchased on your registry and return it - I received a ton of duplicates (including 2 maclaren strollers) and had no issues returning.

Re: Question about BRU returns
I got 3 fisher price new born rockers and 3 shopping cart covers, and 3 car mirrors, all of which never came off the registry for some reason, and my DH returned the next weekend with no problems what so ever. He was gone for maybe 20 min, they took back everything with no gift receipts, and put it all on a gift card :) hope this helps! Good luck!

Re: Question about BRU returns
I was able to return anything that the store sold since I had a registry there. I had no problems. I went to the one in Westbury.
