Question about an event close to due date
I had a question about an event I go to every year .. its sort of like a convention in the city for work.. you go to hotel and meet a lot of people and walk around the ballroom and get info , etc.. well this year its in march , 1 month before my due date.. I really love this event but do you think I would be crazy for trying to go? its a lot of walking around and at 8 months Im sure I would be uncomfortable.. would you try and go or say screw it! lol

Re: Question about an event close to due date
If it's fun and you want to go do it! I felt fine with my first DD a month before my due date and am 37w3d and feel fine now. If you are super uncomfortable can you go for a little and leave when you've had too much?

Question about an event close to due date
I was a champion until 38 weeks -- I would have felt great at an event a month before my due date. However, not everyone is like this. Is it an option to sit down or leave if you feel uncomfortable? I would try to go and leave if I felt like crap!

I don't see any reason not to go. Worst case you get tired and need to find a chair or just catch an earlier train home.

Re: Question about an event close to due date
I would definitely go, but I also flew to Nashville and back for work a day before turning 36 weeks.

Question about an event close to due date
I would go, I'm sure there will be places for you to sit if you need to.
I have an engagement party next Saturday, I'll be almost 38 weeks. I figure as long as I'm not in labor I should be ok.

Question about an event close to due date
Im def goin to plan on going then.. its a tour connection event for my work where I meet all my hotel contacts through the US and international.. Its always a good time I was just concerned that there is a lot of walking and didnt know if it would be too much for my back .. Im sure I can sit or rest if it gets that bad.. Its the one time a year I get to see and hang out with my sales people.. although this time won't be drinking it up :(
