Question about a birthday party

My son is invited to a party....he goes to school with the girls......my daughter will probably have a meltdown when I leave....will it be so beyond tacky if I ask the mom if I can bring her and I will tell her I will pay for her...thanks

Re: Question about a birthday party

How old is your DD?

When my 4 yr old is invited to class parties I don't bring my 2 yr old. I want it to be about my son and his friends. I get someone to watch him and he's fine bc he gets to play with grandma or Papa, etc. His own time.

If your DD is a baby then I would think that's fine.

Re: Question about a birthday party

Under 1 I would only ask if I was still nursing and it would not cost the parent, over one the child needs to learn to separate and the earlier you figure it out the better for both of you. HTH

I personally wouldn't ask.. You're putting the mother on the spot & than she'll probably offer to pay. If you had no babysitter I could understand

I agree with the other posted that child needs to learn seperation. If your DD cant handle you leaving then have someone else bring other child to party.
