Re: question

it's simply horrible.... Chat Icon

to answer your question, I'm fairly sure they can't keep the baby in there too long becuase a raging infection could brew after several days.... which would threaten both baby and momChat Icon

I wonder how much they can extend it since they put her on superantibiotics for several days already Chat Icon

Re: question

michelle i unfortunatley know 1st hand as my water broke at 19 weeks, i was admitted in the hospital and on heavy iv antibiotic and was not allowed to get up at all. they did sonos everyday to see if any water built up some days it did some days it would be empty. since her baby is not considered viable(24weeks) they will not do anything to save her baby other than the iv antibiotic and bedrest. she is living on a prayer as i was. her body may just naturally go into labor or it may not. as long as she does not become infected she can lay there and pray to avoid labor and make it past 24 weeks. after 24 weeks there are steps that can be taken to help her baby survive and be healthy. i too am so sick reading about her situation. soso sad. i will continue to pray for her as i know how sad and scared she must be. i on the otherhand woke up at 23 weeks and was severly infected and my body went into labor on its own. i delivered a beautiful little stillborn girl. Re: question

i feel so sad reading about gerty and rogan. today's update really put me in tears. gerty's due date is the same wk as me, and i cant imagine what her and her dh are going thru right now. i have been terribly sick this week with complications with my asthma from bronchitis, and reading about gerty's situation makes my hardly being able to breathe seem like nothing compared to her. i sure hope there is some miracle that will keep her and her baby safe and make it thru this.Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
