so we decided to get a quartz countertop but now we're debating on whether to get a 4 inch lip or not. what do you think? we were not planning on doing a backsplash until way later..just not in the budget right now

Re: quartz

what do you mean by a 4" lip - a backsplash that's four inches high at the back? It may be a good idea if you're cooking and cleaning alot - otherwise you may get splashes that discolor the paint over time. We have an old formica countertop but it has one.

Re: quartz

I've seen a few in person and one that I like is made by Caesarstone. So yes to Caesarstone and no to Silestone.

We're getting a Cambria Quartz top for our vanity in the downstairs bathroom. They have some beautiful colors and I've been told it's the only one manufactured in the US which I liked as an added bonus. Also the best priced according to the cabinet shop, and they also carry Caesarstone and Silestone.
