Quad screen?
What does this exactly entail? I just had my nt scan and everything looks great....I then scheduled my level2 at 19 weeks and quad screen at 16 1/2 weeks. My doctor made it sound like it was just blood work and no sono. Just curious what everyone else had done.

Re: Quad screen?
I will be doing the Quad Screen. It is a vial of blood & sono. It tests for Spina Bifada, Downs & Trisomy 18/13.

Re: Quad screen?
I had my quad screen a few weeks ago. It was a 30 minute sono, we met with peri and I just met with genetic counselor this week. I had it done at Madonna in Brightwaters.

Re: Quad screen?
The quad screen is just a blood test. I don't think that many practices do sonos with it. It gives additional screening results for Trisomy 18 and Down Syndrome. It also screens for neural tube defects such as spina bifida.

We were given the option to have it done or not. It was presented to us as a sono and blood work. We opted not to have it done.

I had a late term loss my last pregnancy, so I am a little more high risk than a normal pregnancy.
My OB called it a Modified Sequential.
