Q? DD's cheeks and chin is very dry and rough...

is this a phase of baby acne? Or she might have eczema?
Her face was covered with red little bumps last week (baby acne), but her forhead is mostly cleared this week, now her cheeks are chin is another story. My poor baby Chat Icon

If it's dry, I would use Aquaphor.

I did. But I am not sure if this is suppose to be part of the baby acne saga (and normal) or it's something I need to call the ped about Chat Icon Chat Icon

It's probably windburn, a lot of kids get this.

SOUNDS normal, I would also recommend Aquaphor, that stuff works wonders!
If it gets worse or doesn't clear up at all call....

My dd is 5 weeks and has really bad baby acne.. as per my peds yesterday. She also has extremely dry spots that are kinda raw looking.. peds said those spots were excema. I put aquaphor ointment on.

Re: Q? DD's cheeks and chin is very dry and rough...

thanks for all the replies. DD's face is so red and rough, I want to cry looking at her Chat Icon
She also has a teeny bit of the red bumps on the back of her neck, and side of her face, near the ears.
I've been putting Aquaphor on her cheeks and chin, she kept on wiping it off with her hands, maybe by me touching her cheeks, it hurts her?
Well, I just put her in a swaddle, so no more hands in the face.
My poor little girl, I hope it gets better soon. Chat Icon

I have used Boudreaux's Baby Kisses (soothes and helps heal dry, chapped lips & cheeks) My DS has sensitive skin and the redness went away quickly and no baby acne....
