Q- consults with different RE's
Has anyone here booked multiple consults with different RE's in a short time span? If so, do you just call the one you are going to choose once AF comes to start a cycle?

Re: Q- consults with different RE's
For your consult, it does not necessarily matter where you are in your cycle - so you can schedule multiple consults. They may or may not take blood work and do a sonogram.

Re: Q- consults with different RE's
Ok thanks. I just remember the first time around with my old RE (the only one I consulted with at the time), they gave me a checklist and told me to call when AF came for CD 3 bloodwork, etc.

Re: Q- consults with different RE's
I would still go for all of the consults and pick which have a decent game plan. They will usually start you fresh on a cd3 cycle to see what is going on with sono and bloodwork- all the accurate readings are usually taken on cd3. When I began with my old RE, they did the checklist and I just waited until my period and then started all the diagnostics. You may have to miss a cycle or wing it on your own until cd3. Various tests are also done on specific days so you may have to wait for those. Who are you seeing? Did you call Dr. Z??

Re: Q- consults with different RE's
Over a few months, I saw SEVERAL REs with no specific plan of when to cycle with either of them. At the time, I was def more concerned with hearing out what they had to say about my case, etc... If you have to wait it out a cycle, so be it! This isn't a decision I think should be rushed! Good luck!

Re: Q- consults with different RE's
Thanks all, I will see how it goes then. Lillies- yes I am going to see Dr. Z, I am surprised that I was actually able to get in with him fairly soon. I happen to have a day off of work in less than 2 weeks so I asked for that day and it was surprisingly open. I just have to see about bringing my DS there though if I choose that practice, now since its sort of in the opposite direction from where I work.
Thanks for the input and advice all, I know I probably seem like a PITA
to all on here.
