Q about those travel booster seats

When you go to a restaurant, where do you put the seat & tray? If you're in a booth, does the seat & tray fit between the back of the seat and the table? Does the seat "boost" them up high enough to reach the table top, and do you then remove the tray and let them eat from the table? Do you put the chair with the tray attached on a regular chair and let them just eat that way?

I'm sorry for all the questions. I must sound like a complete spaz, but I'd like to get one, based on everybody's raves about them, but I'm just not sure about how it would work.

Re: Q about those travel booster seats

I don't know the answer to your question but just wanted to say that I don't use it at restaurants, I use it out at someone else's house. At a restaurant I use there highchair with the cover thing or sometimes he is in his stroller.

I have an Eddie Bauer booster seat we use in restaurants. It does not have a tray. IMO, the ones with trays are too bulky to use at a restaurant. IF I can, I always use a highchair there, if not, I have this small, foldable booster seat in my car if I need it.

We travel and eat out quite often, so we bring our Healthy Care Booster Seat with us. The restaurant high chairs don't work with DD as she moves around and proceeds to stand on them! She's 1 so at her age, she wants to touch everything, so we use the tray that comes with the booster and push the chair back a bit from the table so "things" are out of her curious little reach. She doesn't feed herself yet, or rather I don't let her, too messy. The tray is extra security from her throwing her head against the table's edge.

I have the one with a tray and we used it all the time, we love it!

They strap to a chair around the bottom and around the back. You can't use it on a booth.

We always attach it to a chair - there are straps on it that make the seat tight on the chair so there is no slipping.

If we get a booth - we still get a chair - there is no where to attach the chair in a booth.

She always uses the tray. Whether we are someones house or at a restaurant.

We have this one and we usually try to get a table when possible rather than a booth. When we do have a booth there is usually plenty of room for the booster on the seat and we use the tray. Most times the table is too far away to not use the tray.

We do the same, that seat is always in the car at all times.

We also picked up the Tiny Diner mat, it suction cups to the table, so if we want we could use just the seat or use the highchair the restaurant provides with our floppy seat. Just to give us more options.

I have one similar to this and it was invaluable when we were on our holiday! I used it in the hotel room and at peoples houses. I always use restaurant high chairs.
