Q about Oceanside
Can anyone tell me about the area south of Waukena and west of Long Beach Road? Does the area of have any flooding?

Im the worst with visualizing where you are saying , but I think I know what area and I think it depends exactly where. I'm near Atlantic and long beach rd and no flooding at all. But closer to canals there is a chance.

I think it is considered a flood zone but my friend who lives between Long Beach Rd and Oceanside Rd, south of Waukena, only had maybe an inch of water in her crawlspace after Hurricane Irene. I think the houses over there don't have basements so flood waters making it into your house isn't too common.

i work on royal ave in that area - the canals do flood.
during irene, we have 12 inches of water for 24 hours
