Q about BRU in store purchase and online purchase

Q about BRU in store purchase and online purchase
So, yesterday I traded in and purchased 2 Britax Frontier Car Seats. The only color they have in store is the Canyon one and with the trade in coupon you can only purchase in store items and not off their website
So my Q is, Im wondering how can I exchange the Canyon colored ones for Onyx or Rushmore colored ones? I asked two seperate associates at BRU and they said I could not exchange for an online purchase, that they wont ship the online purchase to the store for me to exchange Does anyone know how I can go about doing this? TIA

I had a similar problem with a stroller I bought there. They only had one color and online they had the one I wanted. I am stuck with the stroller now as there was no way to exchange it. I was going to order one online and then try and return the one I didn't want. But a friend of mine tried that and they wouldn't accept it because the SKU's didn't match....

I don't understand why they wont let you purchase the color you want and have it delivered to the store or wherever. I guess I'll have to live with the color as well. Thanks for the reply.
