Putting clothes on registry
I just check my BRU registry which DH and I put a bunch of clothes on so people would see what styles we liked but it doesnt show any pictures of them and you can't order them online.
Does anyone have any ideas how to get friends and family to know what kind of clothes we'd like or is this just asking too much?

Re: Putting clothes on registry
I put some clothes on my registry (years ago) but no one bought what I put on(either it was too much of a pain in the butt to find or the outfit was no longer in the store).
Everyone bought a million outfits from a dozen different stores.
Unfortunately when it comes to baby clothes it's a free-for-all.
Just hope you get gift recipts in case you really don't like something. Most baby clothes are so cute you may just love almost everything you get.

Re: Putting clothes on registry
The only clothes I registered for were plain white onesies and some white socks. I think bc of the lack of pictures and it being really difficult to find what's on the registry, no one even bought those.
Most people that buy clothes would rather pick things out themselves. Hopefully they'll get things you like and if not, you can exchange things for what you like. Also, a lot of people who bought clothes did so at other stores so they wouldn't have picked from the registry anyway.

I think it's a bit much to steer people towards certain styles. All baby clothes are adorable and people will end up buying you what they think is cute regardless of what you have on your registry. I received a ton of clothes in all dif sizes and never put any on my registry.

This for me exactly. Just That you get gift receipts. I got a million 0-3 month sleep and plays with NO gift receipts, and some people cut off the bar code so they can't even be exchanged anywhere...

Re: Putting clothes on registry
they might not be showing online because they may not be available. I just registered this weekend and the sales associate told me not to register for any clothes that are on hangers in the store, only packaged clothes such as onesies. She said all clothes on hangers end up going on clearance within a week or so. I still scanned a few outfits but I think I am just going to go back and buy them myself before they go on clearance and arent available anymore

Re: Putting clothes on registry
I put clothes on my registry and some got bought. the thing with BRU is online it shows youdiffer things but, go in the store and it'll show on your reg correctly. We also had people buy us whatever they wanted and we got alot and pretty much all the same size, so I did alot of returning/exchanging. I even had people that opened the packages and took off the tags, re-gifted and didnt have git receipts. UGG

I was able to exchange things that had the tags cut off at some stores. I even returned onesies at Gap today that had been taken out of the package. Apparently they were in a 3pack and I had no idea and didn't even check for the tags. I think I also exchanged at osh kosh something that had no tag.

They told us the same thing when we registered. We put only onesie's on and we still got plenty or adorable clothes.

Re: Putting clothes on registry
as another poster said, i only put white onesies & white socks on there. you can typically see pictures of the clothes if you're looking online, but once you get that printed registry in the store, you can't see the pictures and finding the clothes is just close to impossible. i think since the clothes you may receive will be a gift, one that people took their time to pick out, you will like no matter what.

Re: Putting clothes on registry
Buying clothes off a registry is REALLY difficult. Every store has clothes in different areas, you have to find the brand, the exact item, etc. IME, most people won't buy clothes off the registry unless it's staples like onesies, socks, etc.
So honestly, I wouldn't bother putting any regular clothes on the registry. I would recommend stuff like sleep sacks or swaddle me's, but not actual clothes.

We did the same, and so did the people who gave gifts. People like picking out baby clothes, so I think they tend to go towards what they like and buy that for your baby. No one bought us any of the onesies (plain) that we registered for....but we got about a million cutesy onsesies and outfits for our LO.

When it comes to clothes, people will just buy what they like. Hopefully you get a gift receipt in case you hate it.

Re: Putting clothes on registry
I put a few "daddy" onesies on my registry, but mostly that was to make my MIL happy. I just had my shower and got so many clothes from so many different stores.

Re: Putting clothes on registry
I'll be for reciepts because since we know that this is before being born, I just have a feeling all I'm gonna get is boy clothes for my sprinkle. Also hoping its not all 0-3 months! All we did was put DD in sleepers/onesies for her first half year of life! lol

Re: Putting clothes on registry
I don't buy clothes off registries. too confusing to go search for the patterns/sizes........
I just get something off the registry then add an outfit I find.
