Puss
Did your DC have dried puss when the umbilical cord fell off?
She had a poop explosion yesterday which got all over the umbilical cord so while I was sponge bathing her I tried to clean the cord and it came off, it looks fine just some dried puss in there?

Do you have a peds appt anytime soon? Our DDs fell off early and had blood and puss still oozing out, so they had a special liquid the ped rubbed on it to help sterilze it and end the ozzing.

not till the end of the month, there is no blood though, only dried up yellow which I am assuming is dried puss...

might need silver nitrate to cauterize it! my mom knocked DS' off  during a diaper change so we had to have it cauterized cause it was still a little puss - y 
its no big deal, not painful, happens all the time. the ped can do it. call them!
