Punta Cana, Dominican Republic -
My sister and I want to take a vaca in May during Memorial Day weekend. We wanted Atlantis but there is a stop over which is a big negative for us. Anywho, we liked DR but I know nothing about the island.
We are booking through Costco travel. Here are the choices they gave us:
Gran Bahia Principe
Majestic Colonial
Melia Caribe Tropical
Dreams La Romana
Dreams Punta Cana
Paradisus Punta Cana
Majestic Elegance
Paradisus Palma Real
Anyone have any experience with these places?
What do you think? What would you choose?? TIA!!!

Just wanted to say that no matter where you go, you'll have a great time!!!
We loved Punta Cana, and we're dying to go back.
I know it's not on your list, but we stayed at Iberostar Bavaro - all Junior Suites, and it was fantastic.

Club Med is having a special in May -- $85 a night per person, all inclusive... it seems like a great deal to me....we are going May 9 - 13.

We went at the end of May a couple of years ago and because it was off season it was too quiet for us. We stayed at the Melia Caribe and liked it but the weather was overcast or raining most of the time.

I'm 95% sure my family just got back from Melia Caribe Tropical and had a great time. They said the weather was absolutely beautiful there.
