Punta Cana - Excellence Resort
So, I'm going to the Excellence resort for 5 nights/6 days....I keep reading on here and on their web site they have excursions.
What excursions? I've only seen ziplining - what exactly is this? Any web sites to refer to?
Any other excursions?

I don't remember them having Zipline when we were there last year.
They did have Horseback riding and Bike Tour. These were included with our stay at no extra cost.

These were excursions that people could pay extra for - at least that is my understanding.

They do offer that. I use to have that inforamtion but tossed it out.
I know they offer an ATV tour that also takes you to a watering cave. They also have a day trip to another city. Forgot which one, but it was an ALL DAY trip.
The day you check in they tell you about they have a meeting for new guests and go over ALL the excursions. And also what/who to avoid on the beach. People coming around trying to sell excursions through other companies. Your best bet is to stick with the Concierge desk at the resort.

we did zip lining in Kauai....I have some pics in that album so you can see what it's like...I don't remember if that was an option in DR, but it was a ton of fun.
We did the ATV tour....loved it. They practice with you and teach you how to ride them for a few minutes then your off....they stop at a coffee plantation,some cave you can swim in,and a beautiful beach with time to swim...make your you wear sunglasses,the sand kicks around a little. you won't need the bandanas they try to sell you...They video your trip and sell the cd at the end.We made friends w/another couple bought one,copied it and split the cost...We still watch it so it was worth it for us. The only neg. about the tour was they were always people at the stops selling things...we did buy coffee from the plantation and it was goood!
We also did the shark swim....soooo fun....it was basically a booze cruise so you would be drunk enough to swim with the sharks They had a DJ on the boat and they put on a dance show,it was cute.also, stick with on of the guides when snorkeling and tip them,they feed the fish so they circle around you and makes for awesome pics!!!
