Pumpkin and apple picking
Can anyone recommend a place on LI that has both pumpkin an apple picking? Preferably a place that has stuff for kiddies, like hayrides or something too. I'd like to avoid going out east, but don't know if that's possible. TIA!

Pumpkin and apple picking
i think apples might be over already for the year. since it was so warm most of the apples went early. there might still be places with some but i believe it's already past its prime.

Re: Pumpkin and apple picking
we went to lewins farm last sunday and tehy still had lots of apples. when you walk in to the orchard, turn down one of the first few rows and head towards the back -- you will find tons of trees still loaded with apples and different varieties of apples. the apples were really yummy!!! they also have pick your own pumpkins but after apple picking we were done "picking our own" anything - LOL! - so we stopped at a pumpkin patch on sound avenue on the way home.

i went to lewin farm also this past weekend but they didnt have anything kid friendly at the apple orchard. as we drove there, we drove past signs for Finks Farm which seems to be very kid friendly but i am not certain if they have actual apple and pumpkin picking or just activities for kids...check out their site or give them a call before going

Finks only has pumpkin picking, not apple picking. And yes, it's very kid friendly
