pumping Moms- question about supply
I will be returning to nursing school in the fall. DS will be 8 months then. Im wondering how much BM I will need to have saved up for him. I will be gone 12 hours a day three days a week. How many bottles will he be eating by then?

Re: pumping Moms- question about supply
I think that depends a lot on how much your dc is eating now. My twins take 4 oz BM bottles every 3 hours minus their 2 solids feeds. But some bottle fed babies take much more then that

Re: pumping Moms- question about supply
i dont know if the amount they consume varies from FF to BF but at 8 months, my son was taking 32-40oz per day (FF)

Re: pumping Moms- question about supply
Is he a big eater? Def. depends on the kid. When I returned to work after having my sons, I had to make 4-5 6oz bottles for that timeframe. My daughter is 7.5 months and a peanut. I work 2 days a week and she takes 3-4 5oz bottles. Your son is probably on solids too at that point so my guess is 4 6 oz bottles will suffice. My DD refuses solids - is picky already, so I make sure she gets mostly BM

Re: pumping Moms- question about supply
DD is almost 1 but ever since she started solids she takes about 3 4oz bottles while I am gone for almost 12 hours. I feed her right before I leave and as soon as I get home.
