pull out sofa beds

we bought new couches and one has a pull-out bed. it is the most UNCOMFORTABLE sleep you will ever have in your life.

i would like to buy a mattress pad or memory foam pad or something to make it managable. anyone have any suggestions?? i was hoping that whatever i bought would be thick enough to give a good night's sleep, but thin enough to be able to be closed up with the bed, because storing a big bulky queen-sized thing, would be really hard.

tia!!!!

Re: pull out sofa beds

When we stay at my parent's in Montauk they put a feather bed on the sofa bed for us, it helps a lot.

Maybe try calling the company who makes the sofabed and see what they recommend. I think most covers, except a really thin one, are going to be too bulky to close up the couch.

Maybe one of those really thin memory foam covers.Chat Icon

Re: pull out sofa beds

Maybe you could put an inflatable mattress over the bed? You could get the benefit of a more comfortable bed, and it wouldn't be that hard to store. You should be able to deflate it and store it inside the couch I would think.

i actually tried that this weekend with my friends' blow up mattress. it was way too high to climb in and out of the bed when it was inflated.

thank you all for the suggestions. keep them coming!
