PSA: Optimum Boost
For anyone who has Optimum Boost, you may not need it. I thought the Boost made my Internet faster. Apparently not. Someone at Cablevision told me it's meant more for people who host their own website or need a static IP address. Cablevision removed it, saving me $10 a month, and I haven't noticed a difference in Internet speed at all.
So you may want to nix it if you don't need it and save yourself the $10.

The boost is really only for people who download and upload a lot of files or do a lot of video streaming.
You won't see a difference in speed with just browsing websites or getting email.
